Okay it seems like people don’t get the reason for HPA having less joule creep then spring powered systems.
Okay to start off with.
what creates Joule creep.
I already have some notes on this in this post here. “Link”
So the package is just around the corner (eta Wednesday or Thursday).
So I might as well start working on the post about it.
So after a sore scalp after a lot of thinking, after my findings using .2g .36g .4g and .43g bbs and still getting the same joule (down to 0.02joule as the biggest difference.)
I do believe I need to do some rewriting on the “energy transfer and joule creep” post.
Anyhow my theory is this.
This is a thing you need to take in to consideration when upgrading your rifle.
As this will matter if you’re going for a rifle with the best parts for the desired fps and bb weight.
Now i will go over 4 things in this guild, that being.
1. The energy transfer.
2. Joule creep.
3. Barrel ratio.
4. How the weight of piston affects this.
5. HPA and joule creep.
Okay it’s time for some maintenance for my VSR-10 after the big game in Denmark.
And no there will not be any posts about that game as the VSR was feeling like hitting anything.
ANd the fact that I was forced to use dark bbs, thereby making it impossible to compensate for wind. Did not help on the matter.
I had 4 things I needed to fix.
1. I was shooting thread tape at some points so I need to check that.
2. It got a bang and the outer barrel got knocked loose.
3. The cylinder needs some new lubrication.
4. I need to check the hop-up rubber to see how it’s doing as I put in a new one before I went down to Denmark.
So I have seen a lot of people asking about this before.
And I wanted to try a tight bore barrel and a short barrel on the VSR, so I figured out I might as well use the stock barrel the VSR came with.
now the specs on the barrel I got was. (Turns out they have a tendency to change the barrel on the different batches so yours might be different).
Bridged hop-up window.
So after I colored the jute and burlap, it was time to put it to use.
A thing to keep in mind is, that the stuff was colored while it was still a ball and therefore the color was not even. (As I intended, and I wanted to experiment with.) so the color of the threads might look a bit weird.
